When we think of legal letters, what usually comes to mind is legal language that is not easy to understand by non-legal people.

However when you are building a brand like Netflix, you have to bring the brand voice in your legalese as well.

In 2017, when two Chicago residents opened a bar with the theme of Netflix’s popular show ‘Stranger Things’, Netflix issued a Cease and Desist letter, using language that is completely on brand.

When you read it, it just brings a smile on the face πŸ™‚ and yet does its job.

The entire letter had references to the program, which shows how brand personality can be brought to life across touch points including legalΒ #communication.
