It became the first U.S. company to hit a market cap of $2 trillion when its shares briefly reached $466.77.
Yes, read that again – $2 trillion! That is a mind-boggling figure for any company to reach. In fact, Saudi Arabian oil and gas giant Aramco is the only other company to achieve this feat.
Back in 2000, the company had a market cap of $5 Billion, and in the last 20 years, it has risen to stratospheric heights!
